where they ask you to send an amount of crypto to a specified public address and they will promise to send you double the funds back to your own public address - it sounds too good to be true and of course it is a scam - they will never send you double your money back and they will keep your original ‘investment’!

It seems odd that YouTube do not seem to be doing much to stop this scam - if you search for say ‘Elon Musk’ on YouTube and then filter by ‘Live’ - you will find dozens of supposed YouTube Live vidoes where Elon is talking about crypro - they often choose really informative/interesting interviews - however as clever as Elon Musk is with his fancy electric cars and rockets he is yet to work out how to be in more than once place at the same time!

How do you spot if the video you are watching on YouTube is one of these scams?

Here are 4 tell-tale signs:

  1. The live streaming video does not take up the entire screen and the right hand side is overlapyed with giveaway offers!

  2. Comments is always switched off!

  3. If it is an Elon Musk video you will usually find he is live on many other different channels at the same time!

  4. The channel usually have 1,000’s of subscribers but only 1 video on the channel!
